Benthic in coral, crevices and under ledges (Ref. 58302). In the spur-and-groove habitat in Kaneohe Bay, O?ahu, Hawai‘i, it feeds mainly on harpacticoid copepods, tanaids, and amphipods, as well as a large variety of other small invertebrates (Ref. 107299).
