Dorsal spines (total): 8 - 9; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-15; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 11 - 13; Vertebrae: 33 - 35. Three pairs of distinct bony tubercles on dorsal surface of occiput; first pore of supraorbital sensory canal (SO1 absent; interorbital space deeply concave (Ref. 49856).

Collected from tide pools with sandy bottom (Ref. 49856).
