Remark: | This fish caught by professsional fishermen by means of netting, but anglers cath this fish by big metal spoons. It is wide spread in that area and it is possible to catch much bigger species near Keban Damp on the Euphrates River. I think this fish is a grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus). Since it is main food item is vegetation it seems to be interesting that it can be caught by spoons. I may confuse and misinterpret this fish but if it is a grass carp you should correct your database because in the database this fish is shown as NON ESTABLISHED after introduction. If it is a grass carp it is called in Turkish OT SAZANI, HINT SAZANI or TURNA (locally). Faithfully | ||||
