Remark: | Saw this adult fish far upriver from the sea, with a remora attached. I observed it for several minutes and saw it several times throughout the day until evening. This is a much sought-after food fish and is farmed commercially in floating cages in the sea. It is native to this region and known in Malay as "ikan siakap" and in English as "sea bass", "barramundi", or "giant sea perch". | ||||
