Short description
Morphology | Morphometrics
The species is of the genus Bathycongrus with a thin filiform tail, two enlarged medial vomerine teeth, a strongly elongated trunk region, and a great number of trunk vertebrae. The dorsal fin origin is immediately behind the pectoral fins. Vert. 167+ (their number should
be greater since the caudal fin is regenerated), precaudal vertebrae 67. Lateral line pores in front of anal opening 46. The oral branchial cavity is light (Ref. 80682).
